- 25 October 2006 - Solar powered operating theatre A Kent inventer, Alexander Bushell, has created a £25,000 portable solar powered or pedal powered operating theatre. Designed for remote locations, it can be flown into disaster zones by helicopter and two surgeons can work inside it.
