Greenpeace dumps 4 tonnes of coal

According to Greenpeace Tony Blair is backing a number of applications to build new coal plants. Greenpeace’s response to this was to dump four tonnes of coal on the doorstep of the UK Department of the Environment.

Low Carbon Building Programme ran out of funds in 12 hours

The Low Carbon Building Programme which provides grants for householders to upgrade the energy efficiency of their homes is capped on a monthly basis - perhaps to allow the funding to meet its lifetime shut-off date of June 2008.
